A Busy Spring and What's to Come

Spring is a great season in Morgantown! We’re seeing more sunshine, the trees and flowers are coming alive, the Gold-Blue Spring Game is just around the corner and in just over a month, the Class of 2019 will be celebrating commencement.

The next few weeks are a busy time for our alumni team in Morgantown and for our chapters across the nation. There are many events and opportunities for you to engage in fellowship with Mountaineers. From golf tournaments and ski trips to shrimp boils and picnics to crab feasts and pig roasts to baseball games and much more - there is an event for every Mountaineer to participate in. I encourage you to visit our events page to learn more about what is happening in your geographic area.

WVU Alumni Events

Though we’ve been busy with such exciting events, we’re also well underway with planning for the fall. We’ve opened nominations for homecoming awards and need your help in identifying top candidates. To learn more about the different awards and/or nominate someone, please visit our homecoming awards page.

Speaking of the fall, we’ve expanded our opportunities at the Erickson Alumni Center for pre-game activities. We’ll continue to host our VIP tailgate called Hail WV. As a Hail member, you’ll get your own designated parking spot for every home football game along with two passes to a pre-game reception in the comfort of the Alumni Center with food and beverages prepared by our award-winning executive chef. We’re offering a discount until the Spring Game for new registrants to Hail WV.

In addition to Hail WV, we also host FanFest, a family friendly tailgate with free admission. Food and beverages are available for purchase and this year, we’ll have former WVU football players on site to sign autographs, as well as games and activities for children. Please consider joining us for FanFest on your way to the game at the Erickson Alumni Center.

I hope to see you this summer at one of our many events. In the meantime, best wishes for a fantastic spring and thank you for your support of the WVU Alumni Association and WVU.

Let’s Go!
