The WVU Alumni Association supports a variety of chapters and interest groups to help Mountaineers stay connected to their WVU experience, wherever they might be. While the chapters refer to groups in specific geographic regions, alumni interest groups exist globally and connect WVU alumni who share a similar experience, identity, or interest. Alumni interest groups include the WVU Alumni Band, the Black Alumni Association, and the Alumni Cheerleaders, to name a few.
