A Centennial Celebration!

"My goal is to make sure everyone has a smile on their face when they leave the park."

Stacy Humphreys is the Chief of Interpretation and Resource Management at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

Stacy grew up right outside of Morgantown in Westover, West Virginia. After receiving both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history at WVU, she went on to work at Gettysburg National Military Park, Independence National Park, the National Mall in Washington D.C. and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.

The National Park Service and Abraham Lincoln Birthplace both celebrated their 100-year anniversaries in 2016!

Stacy shows her Mountaineer pride wherever she goes.

“I always wear my class ring of WVU, and I’ve had more than one person say ‘Oh! You’re a Mountaineer! You went to WVU,’ and I said 'Absolutely I went to WVU and I’m very proud to be a Mountaineer.'”
