Jim Martin

Jim Martin is President and CEO of Citynet, West Virginia’s leading telecommunications and broadband infrastructure company. A lifelong West Virginian, he launched his first business, MARCOM, while earning his computer science degree at West Virginia University. After leading Citynet’s acquisition from City National Bank, Martin grew the company from 20 employees to over 250, with offices and data centers across West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Under his leadership, Citynet has become a driving force in broadband expansion, securing state and federal funding to bring high-speed fiber to unserved communities. A former member of the West Virginia Broadband Deployment Council, he is a respected voice on digital equity and connectivity, speaking regularly at broadband conferences and policy forums.
