ABOUT THE CHAPTER
The WVU Palmetto Chapter was formed in the Spring of 2015 by a group of WVU alumni living in the Beaufort and Jasper county areas of South Carolina. The group determined that there were many West Virginians currently living in this area, or planning to relocate here, and the chapter would help members celebrate their unique connection to WVU and West Virginia and keep the mountaineer spirit alive in all of us.Chapters promote the fellowship and welfare of WVU alumni, students, parents
of students, and friends of the university in their geographic region. WVU alumni
chapter members have the opportunity to participate in several social events throughout
the year, including televised game watches, recruitment of new WVU students, trips
to football games and other athletic activities, local events, charity benefits,
or community service opportunities.
